what is worth to see, do and know – practical information and MAP

# Parc Güell – absolutely must see! If you want to avoid entrance fee You can enter the park for free from 06.00 – 08.00 in the morning – what is more important You will also avoid standing in a queue and waiting a few hours on the entrance.
# La Sagrada Familia – amazing architecture! remember, tickets at the ticket office can be purchased only on the day for  „today”, and are limited as in Parc Güell. Tickets for the next days you can buy online but only with a credit card!
# FC Barcelona Match at Camp Nou – even though I’m not a football fan I recommend. Emotions and spectacle are indescribable!
Font Magica – nice place to visit, REMEMBER that the fountain works only during certain evening hours on certain days (usually weekends – check the official schedule here), of course the fountain is only part of the complex of cascades and fountains starting from Placa d’Espanya to Museu nacuinal d’Art de Catalunya and the breadth of the buildings is impressive.
Tramvia Blau – a fun attraction, whether you want to go in a little „travel in time” or take a picture REMEMBER runs only on weekends.
# Mercat La Boqueria a market, absolutely must see and taste the delicacies, fresh fruits, local cured/smoked meats and sea food.
# La Ramblamost famous street in the city, leading from Placa de Catalunya to Estatua de Colom and harbor – perfect for start Your walk Tour.

# Sangria and  tapas – when you get tired of walking around the city, just stop at one of the many restaurants or bars and cool yourself with sangria and tapas.
# Platja de la Barcelonetaone of the many beaches in the city – very close to the center – as soon as you will desire to relax on the beach, it is within 2-3 metro station (note that this is popular nudists beach).

# Casa Batlló – another architectural masterpiece of Gaudi and certainly postcard of the city, you can also go inside and on the roof – official website – Not far away from it, is Casa Mila.

# Parc de la Ciutadellaworth a visit especially when traveling with children and You want to visit a Zoo (half of the park is a small zoo – must buy tickets), from here is close to the Arc del Triomf
# Basilica Santa Maria del Mar – maybe not so magnificent as the Sagrada Familia, but really worth a visit!
# Catedral de Barcelona – the magnificent cathedral, an essential stop. By purchasing a ticket for the price you have the possibility to take the lift to the roof of the cathedral from where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama of the city!
# Gothic quarter – beautiful, old, gothic quarter, narrow streets and interesting architecture.
# Montjuic – You can get there by cable car from port, but the vision of waiting in a 3 hour queue, scared us off  so we took the subway and walked out on the top.

If you are in the city at weekend, and you want to visit any museum, you may have chance to do it for free, of course hudge queue guaranteed and amount of tickets is limited.
Areo Bus – the best and cheapest transport from the airport to city center Placa de Catalunya
IF You plan tu use metro, we recommend You buy a ticket „T-10” – ten trips for 10 €. You can use ONE ticket together with your friends. There is possibiity you can use that ticket also in the buses.

What is NOT worth

# If you visiting Sagrada Familia – we do NOT recommend going up to towers, the ticket is much more expensive and the views are very poor, MUCH more beautiful view is from the roof of the Catedral de Barcelona or from Parc Güell.
# Wait in a queue anywhere – if you have a credit card buy your tickets to the main attractions in advance. If you do not have a credit card you will need to go to the ticket office and try to get ticket for the following day. They do not sale tickets for the next day! If you want get ticket for next day you can buy it only online but must have credit card! Plan your journey in advance if you do not want to waste your time in a queue.

There is a plenty other attractions, we did not had a chance but it might be worth??

# L’Aquàrium Oceanarium – if You traveling with a children can be fun.
# Museums – Many of Barcelona’s museums are free the first Sunday of every month, or every Sunday afternoon. To one of them „almost” we were able to go in, but we ran out of time to wait in a queue.
# Bus City Tour – an alternative way of touring , sometimes you will have to stand in a queue at the bus stop to „hop on”.
# Torre Agbar – colorful, modern, interesting skyscraper in the city.
# Liceu Opera – You should go to the show.
# Cable car – we did not want to wait in a quene a few hours so we just skip it!
# Tibidabo – Barcelona’s hill with an amusement park.
